Anti-Virus Recommendations
Anti virus software can be installed onto the servers, but the following exclusions must be configured.
If a support issue is raised then the removal of the anti virus may be required to aid in any diagnostics.
For all servers:
- Exclude the server logs
- %ProgramData%\Xarios\Xarios Communication Server\logs
- File extensions to exclude: *.log
For servers with the recording role:
- Disable real time / on demand scanning
- Exclude the recordings paths (default paths shown)
- D:\Recordings
- Local <Archive Location>
- Windows Firewall
- If recording SIP/VoIP then any Firewall needs to be disabled
For servers with the website role:
- Microsoft IIS 7.0 Server
- Web Server log files should be excluded from scanning. By default, IIS logs are saved in C:\inetpub\logs.
For servers with the database role:
- Disable real time / on demand scanning
- Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2
- %ProgramFiles%\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL\Data (File extensions to exclude: *.mdf,*.ldf, *.ndf, *.bak, *.t)
- %ProgramFiles%\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL10_50.<Instance Name>\MSSQL\Binn\SQLServr.exe
- %ProgramFiles%\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL10_50.<Instance Name>\Reporting Services\ReportServer\Bin\ReportingServicesService.exe
