The servers must meet the minimum operating system requirements described here. The minimum recommended hardware requirements are also shown.
Windows Server Small Business/Foundation/Essential versions are not supported
The minimum recommended hardware is dependent on the type of calls that are to be recorded. The recorder server should have a RAID1 disk drive partition for the operating system and application files and a separate RAID1 partition for the call recordings.
The number of concurrent calls being recorded and how long they are to be kept will determine the actual amount of disk space required.

The recording servers support virtualized environments only when the recording method does not require any specific hardware. The table below shows the supported configurations.
Device Type | Supported? |
---|---|
ISDN Trunks | |
Analogue Trunks | |
Basic Rate ISDN Trunks | |
SIP Trunks (Synway not Hyper-V) | |
Mitel SRC Devices | |
Digital Extensions | |
SIP/IP Extensions |
The following virtualization environments have been tested and are supported.
Environment | Supported? |
---|---|
VMWare ESXi v5.1, 5.5, 6.0, 6.5 | |
Hyper-V 2012 R2, 2016 | (not Synway SIP trunks) |
V-Motion is not supported and the Server will need to be shutdown moved and restarted
On a virtual machine we do not support saving/resuming the state of a virtual machine and these should be shutdown
