Overview
Follow this procedure to add or edit a recording rule. For the rule to be a match ALL of the conditions must be met.
Configuration
To add a new recording rule:
- Access the Site Settings -> Recording Rules configuration section.
- Click the Add / Edit button.
- On the Details tab enter the information for this rule.
- Name: Enter a short descriptive name for this rule.
- Description: Enter a longer description for this rule.
- Enabled: Check this option to enable this rule, this will take about 60 seconds to take effect.
- On the Settings tab configure the conditions for this rule.
More than a single entry can be configured for each option with the use of special characters, and using a comma to separate each one. For a range of values use a hyphen, i.e. 1001-1005, will include all items from 1001 to 1005 inclusive. For excluding specific values use an exclamation mark, i.e. !1002, will not include 1002. For wildcards use a percent, i.e. 100%, will include all entries that start with 100.To combine multiple rules use a comma to delimit each one, i.e. 1001,1003,1005-1008,!1006, this would include 1001,1003,1005,1007,1008.
- Agent: The agent id or ids to trigger this rule.
- Endpoint: The extension number(s) to trigger this rule.
- Caller ID: The outside number, caller id or dialed number, to trigger this rule.
- DDI: The direct dial number for inbound calls to trigger this rule.
- On the Tags tab configure any custom tag field options and account code to use.
- Account Code: The account code or codes to trigger this rule.
- Field 1: The value in the custom tag field 1 to trigger this rule.
- Field 2: The value in the custom tag field 2 to trigger this rule.
- Field 3: The value in the custom tag field 3 to trigger this rule.
- Field 4: The value in the custom tag field 4 to trigger this rule.
- Field 5: The value in the custom tag field 5 to trigger this rule.
- Click on Save.
