Overview

The website configuration may need to be modified from the standard configuration depending on the environment that this is used in.

Configuration

To configure the website settings:

  1. Access the  Servers Settings -> SERVERNAME -> Website configuration section.
  2. Configure the following options.
    • Use Windows Authentication: This enables the website to be accessed using the current users Active Directory Windows login. This requires each user to have their Windows Username configured. When a user connects to the website if they have a valid Windows login then they can access the website.
    • Website URL: This is the URL that is to be used to access the call recorder. If the recorder is to be accessible over the Internet then this needs to be set to the fully qualified domain name, for example https://callrecorder.xarios.com.
    • Domain redirect: If this is enabled then the website will redirect/forward any visitors to the configured Website URL.
    • Report Server URL: The URL to the Microsoft SQL Reporting Services entity which host the reporting service.
    • Default language: This sets the default language that is shown on the logon page before a user logs in. A user can then override this once they are logged in.
    • Session timeout: This is the number of minutes before a session times out due to inactivity and the user would then have to log back in. When the session timer is about to expire then the user will be prompted with a warning.
The session timeout has no affect when using Windows Authentication.
    • Live view enabled: This enables Users to have the recordings page update in real time, see the Security Profiles section. This can incur a performance hit if multiple users have this feature enabled.
    • Search Rules: They are several settings that allow different types of calls to be shown on recording search screen.
      • Show deleted calls: This will list calls that have been deleted; the actual recording file will not be available.
      • Show non-recorded calls: The recorder logs every call in the system even if it has not been answered or recorded. To display these calls enable this options.
      • Show in-progress calls: This enables calls that are currently in progress to be shown, otherwise they will only appear once the call has completed.
      • Always show null user calls: This allows Users with an access scope of Business Unit Master or lower to view calls that haven’t been assigned to a User. This has no effect for Organisation/Site scopes which will always be able to see these calls.
Enabling Always show null user calls will allow ANY user to access calls not tagged to a user
    • Max call search records: This sets the limit on the maximum number of records returned when searching. Increasing this value to more than the default will increase the load on the system and may impact performance.
    • Live view enabled: This enables the recording page to automatically refresh. This will cause extra load on the system so is only recommended to be enabled when absolutely necessary.
