Web browser integration is provided by the use of the Xarios Communicator Browser Add-on and provides integration services to enable automatic mute and un mute of call recordings based on a specific web page that the user has open.
As the user navigates between pages and the URLs change if the link is on a pre-configured list for do not record then the call recording will be automatically muted. Once the user has navigated away from the page and link changes the call recording will then be automatically un muted.
The mute and un mute of the call recordings requires no intervention by the user and can be configured so that there are no visible notifications to make them aware that this is happening. Alternatively notifications can be enabled to give feedback to the users when this is happening.
When the Xarios Communicator Add On first starts up it retrieves a list of URLs to check are open. Each URL to match is defined by a regular expression value. Multiple expressions can be configured to match a range of different URLs.
As a web page is opened the add-on compares the open URLs (including any iFrames) and if any of them match instructs the call recorder to mute the call recording. When the matching URL is closed the add-on then instructs the call recorder to un mute the recording.
